Issy Parker

Issy Parker is an artist living and working on Bundjalung Country in Northern New South Wales. Her practice moves between ceramics, drawing and photography, following ideas as they shift between image, material and form. Creating tactile works that invite curiosity and slow attention, Parker approaches making as an ongoing conversation between nature, material and the artist’s hand. Her work proposes beauty as a way of paying attention and reflects a sustained curiosity about the relationship between people, place and the rituals of everyday life. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Art School.
