Kodie Mason

Kodie Mason is a Dharawal woman from La Perouse, Sydney, whose artistic practice is grounded in culture, Country, family and the continuation of Aboriginal knowledge. As an artist, cultural practitioner and founder of Malima, Kodie works across weaving, traditional object making, storytelling, language and cultural education. Her practice draws on Dharawal and Gweagal knowledge passed down through generations, exploring cultural continuity and the resilience of Aboriginal culture.
Through her work, Kodie creates opportunities to connect with and share living culture, while supporting the continuation of knowledge and cultural practices for future generations.
