Noah Regan

Painting

Noah Regan is an Australian painter based in Palm Beach, NSW. His practice explores the expressive potential of landscape and the human figure. Working in a contemporary representational language, Regan creates paintings that seek not simply to depict a subject, but to reveal its emotional and psychological presence.

Painting is the natural culmination of a lifetime spent thinking about how images communicate, move people and endure. Following more than three decades in design and advertising, where creative excellence was recognised through numerous national and international awards, Regan has devoted his practice to painting. This allows him to more deeply and profoundly explore his understanding of composition, colour, light and visual narrative while allowing space for a slower, more intuitive engagement with the materiality of oil paint.

In 2026, Regan was selected as a finalist in the prestigious Archibald Prize, marking a significant milestone in a practice dedicated to creating paintings that seek beauty, meaning and lasting emotional resonance.
